The full name of the data field is "Current Grade %" but on the profile screen, it shows as just "GRAD" and doesn't take the full name. The number that you see for Grade is in percentage regardless. This is to keep all the data fields consistent. For example, distance will be in miles/kms, Ascent will be in metres, etc. That being said, your feedback is valid as it could create confusion as % is not mentioned in the data field description.
